JAPANESE MINT, Mentha arvensis
Vivacious, erect herbaceous plant with quadrangular, branched stems, belonging to the botanical family of the labiates, which can reach a height of ninety centimeters. The leaves are large, lanceolate and broad, pubescent, with a more or less flat blade and a serrated edge.
Japanese mint is the strongest of the mints due to its high content of menthol. Peppermint essential oil has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes in Europe, Japan and China.
