CALENDULA, Calendula officinalis
Herbaceous, aromatic, glandular plant, from annual to perennial, woody only at the base. The flowers are ligulate and yellow or orange, with a flowering that lasts practically the whole year, closing at night and opening at dawn due to its photonastia. It is collected in the early hours of the day.
Used by ancient Egyptians for its incredible rejuvenating and healing properties, it is also used in honor of the Virgin during Catholic events.
